| Abstract: |
Capacity 21 was launched in 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro. It was created to assist developing countries to build their capacity to integrate the principles of Agenda 21 into national planning and development. Capacity 21 is an initiative that is led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
With the assistance of a trust fund donated by Capacity 21 partner countries, it helps developing countries to draw up national programmes of capacity building. The progress of Honduras within this program is documented here.
